Insurance Claims Are Our Terrain
Most of our work is storm and insurance claims, so we handle yours start to finish. We inspect first and file second. No claim filed off a driveway guess, and if the repair costs less than your deductible, we’ll tell you.
Your free exterior storm damage inspection includes:
- Photos of every point of damage
- A written report you can hand straight to your insurance company
Denied before? You may have one year from your filing date to request a second opinion, and we’ll tell you straight if it’s worth pursuing.
Keeping Your Best Interest at Heart
Honesty and transparency are at the core of all our interactions. Our team provides clear, professional advice based on your specific situation. If repairs cost less than your deductible, we’ll say so. But if we find significant damage that qualifies for a claim, we’ll walk you through the process from start to finish.
Types of Storm Damage
Hail Damage
Hail knocks the protective granules off your shingles and bruises the mat underneath, leaving soft, pockmarked spots. It’s nearly invisible from the ground because the damage sits flat and only shows on close inspection.
- We get on the roof, mark impact points, and document granule loss and soft spots the way an adjuster does, then handle the claim.
Wind Damage
Wind lifts shingles and breaks the adhesive seal, so they settle back down looking normal while the waterproof bond is gone. You can’t see a broken seal from the driveway, but the next hard rain drives water underneath it.
- We check the seal on every shingle, not just the visible gaps, and document what we find for the claim.
Fallen Tree Damage
A limb crushes decking and punctures shingles where it lands, but the force also loosens fasteners and cracks shingles several feet out. That surrounding damage gets missed by a quick patch and becomes the next leak.
- We inspect the full impact zone, decking and framing included, and give you a straight read on the real scope.
Hurricane Damage
By the time remnants reach Charlotte, they layer broken seals, wind-driven rain, and hours of saturation into dozens of small failures. No single spot looks catastrophic, so a ground look reads as “we got lucky” while moisture is already in the system.
- We treat it as a full-roof assessment and work directly with your adjuster so nothing gets left off the claim.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my insurance company willing to pay to replace my roof?
Insurance companies pay to replace your storm damaged roof because they acknowledge that the integrity of the shingle was damaged enough to assume there will likely be problems in the future. Even if you have no current leaks or issues. In this sense, they are proactive, as to save them from a larger claim in the future when/if the roof failed.
How long do I have to file a claim against storm damage?
Homeowners have 3 years from the date of the storm to file a claim for any/all damages relating to storms.
Do I have to pay my deductible?
This question is asked very frequently. LEGALLY you are required to pay your deductible. This is typically the only amount you have to come out of pocket during the entire process.
What if I had a different insurance provider when the last storm hit my house, who do I file a claim with?
If you had a different insurance provider when the last storm hit then you do right now, then you would pursue a claim against the insurance provider you had when the storm happened.
Ex: You had Geico insurance when it hailed on May 21, 2019. You switched to Allstate on March 2, 2020. If that hail storm was the last to hit your home then you would pursue a claim against Geico, as they were the ones who insured the property at the time of the storm.
I was denied once before by my insurance company, should I file again?
In many situations you don’t have to! Even if your insurance company denies your claim, you have 1 year from the date you filed to request a second opinion. This process can be very subjective, so homeowners are entitled to a second opinion if they feel their property did not receive the time and attention it deserved for an unbiased inspection.
Are your inspections free?
Storm damage inspections are free. That’s an exterior visual inspection with photos and a written report. Leak and interior assessments are $99, and if you hire us for the work, that fee goes toward it.
