Clay Tile

Concrete Tile
Made to imitate slate, clay, or even cedar, concrete is an excellent choice for whatever style of building you’re trying to construct. It costs significantly less than the materials it is made to imitate. Cast to be fire-resistant, resilient to extreme cold, hurricane-proof, and even able to survive an earthquake. On top of that, concrete comes in just about any color you can imagine, making it look as good as it is sturdy.
Synthetic Tile
Synthetic tiles are an exceptional material for roofing and can last longer than other traditional roofing options. Many synthetic tiles are lighter than traditional clay tiles, meaning there’s no need for any additional structural support. Unless you’re standing on the roof, you’ll never be able to tell the difference between synthetic and natural clay.

Pros of Tile Roofs
- Low maintenance: As stated above, there is very little a homeowner has to do to maintain their tile roof. A power washer and a ladder are all you need.
- Weather-resistant: Tiles are incredibly sturdy. Since they are such a heavy material, they are impervious to high winds, hail, and even fire. This is also why tile roofs are popular in areas prone to hurricanes.
- Longevity: A synthetic tile can have a lifespan double that of cedar or asphalt, while clay and concrete can easily triple that.
Cons of Tile Roofs
- Heavy: Clay and concrete tiles are very heavy and will require machinery just to get the materials onto your roof. This also means that your home will have to be adequately reinforced before the tiles go up so that it doesn't buckle under the weight.
- Expensive: Tile roofing can easily cost double that of asphalt, especially clay and concrete. That's materials alone, installation will not be cheap either.
- Difficult installation: An experienced crew and special equipment are needed to install a tile roof. The sheer weight and the fact that you need to hang every tile does not make installation easy.

I cannot thank Roof Medic enough. Julian came out to inspect our roof that had a lot of moss growing on it due to very large oak trees shading the property. We were sure we would need to replace it soon but we didn’t realize we had storm … More damage as well. He thoroughly walked us through the insurance claim process and even came out the day the adjuster was here. Our roof ended up being covered by insurance! What a blessing that was for us old retired folks. They estimated that they would possibly need two days to complete the job but they were able to finish in one very full day. It was starting to get dark when they were cleaning up which may be the reason for my only complaint. We have found to date 24 roofing nails on the asphalt driveway. I’m just hoping that none find their way into our tires or any visitors we have. I would still highly recommend Roof Medic.

I haven't heard from Production and when I reach out to the office or Pat I am told they are very busy. I have read in other reviews that their communication is good. I would like to see this. I am not asking for them to get to me fast but since I paid the deposit then at least keep me up to date. I look forward to getting the work done and giving Roof Medic the 5 stars they most likely deserve.
